چکیده
The metabolite of ethanol, ethyl glucuronide (EtG), reflects alcohol intake longer than ethanol and is used as a biomarker in clinical settings to detect use. We aimed assess the usefulness low-to-moderate setting validate new urine EtG dipstick. A three-way, open, cross-over trial was conducted. Data were collected from January June 2019. Among 12 healthy female volunteers, we quantified dipstick following either one, two or four units alcohol. Main outcomes concentrations serum, creatinine serum. determined dichotomously by dipsticks at different thresholds mass spectrometry gold standard. quantifiable up 24 hours after intake. In some individual cases, 72 low concentrations. detected hours. At 1000 1500 ng/mL, had specificity 100% (both), while sensitivity 84% 69%, respectively. insufficient support screening purpose this

15 صفحه اولAn evaluation of the DRI-ETG EIA method for the determination of ethyl glucuronide concentrations in clinical and post-mortem urine.
A commercial enzyme immunoassay for the qualitative and semi-quantitative measurement of ethyl glucuronide (EtG) in urine was evaluated. Post-mortem (n=800), and clinical urine (n=200) samples were assayed using a Hitachi 902 analyzer. The determined concentrations were compared with those obtained using a previously published liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry (LC-MS/MS) method for...
